ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY 2016

We will demonstrate our commitment to the prevention of pollution and continual improvement in environmental performance by pursuing a proactive approach to minimising the adverse environmental impacts associated with our operations.

We will do what we reasonably and practically can to protect and preserve the environment and our natural habitat by:

  • Integrating environmental issues into all commercial decisions through an effective management system accredited to ISO 14001 standard, which will set and ensure achievement of environmental objectives

  • Complying, as a minimum, with all environmental regulations and agreements. We will perform better than required where practical

  • Promoting environmental awareness amongst our staff and contractors, ensuring that they are competent to carry out their work in line with this policy

  • Promote the minimisation of use of resources, water and waste production and ensure environmentally sound methods of waste recycling and disposal

  • Monitoring and reviewing our environmental activities regularly and ensuring effective management procedures are implemented

  • Discussing our environmental performance regularly with neighbours, statutory organisations and other interested parties, taking note of their views and investigate any concerns promptly, courteously and professionally. We will report our environmental performance openly and honestly
